Samantha and Hayden; Earth Toned Wedding

Samantha and Hayden's beautiful union of love was held up at Lookout Lodge earlier this year. Samantha originally wanted muted neutrals for her bouquet, but after some discussion about other choices, she settled on beautiful pops of orange ad rust to create a scorched earth colour palette. 

When we asked Samantha why they chose to get married here in Central Otago, she told us that "Hayden grew up in Omarama/Twizel, I have spent my childhood in central Otago over the summer holidays and together we have spent a fair amount of our time in central Otago over the summer break and on weekend getaways, with a fair few memories made in Wanaka." 

 

We asked Samantha if there were any stand-out vendors, to which she enthusiastically told us "All our vendors were amazing, they all went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect! Kate, our photographer exceeded our expectations, she helped with the pre-wedding nerves, made the post ceremony photos feel so relaxed and got some amazing shots, she also assisted me with my veil which was amazing because I had absolutely no idea how to put it in my hair."

 

 

 "Aspiring catering was so much more than just caterers to us. They were like our personal wedding planners for the day, helped us with the timetable for the day and made sure everything ran smoothly. Any small issues were sorted by the team and they were very helpful throughout the whole planning process. Not to mention that grazing table; to die for.

 

 

"Loren Russell my makeup artist, wow, she did the most perfect job with our makeup. She really out did herself and made myself, my bridesmaids, flower girl and my mum feel and look beautiful."

 

 

"The whole day was memorable to us. Celebrating with our friends and family in such a beautiful location was more than we could ask for. Specifically for me I think it was walking the aisle with my dad who told me he was proud of me and he was happy I met Hayden. "

 

 

"I had custom made bridesmaid dresses by NZ designer Caitlin Crisp, her team were amazing and made the whole process super easy! They were very accommodating for postal dress try on’s and the dresses were everything I could’ve asked for and more, they complimented my 'Chosen by Kyha' dress that I got from Paperswan Bride in Christchurch. "

  

 

"The pop of orange in our flowers just tied everything together. From wanting neutral shades to changing my mind to have colour, you guys really nailed the brief! The bouquets were beautiful and everyone loved them! "
