Jacqui and Tom didnt let the rain dampen their spirits as they tied the knot at Rippon. The deep maroon floral palette brought stark contrast to the soft green bridesmaids dresses. With umbrellas and even an outfit change for the evening, Jacqui and Tom's wedding was an event to be remembered!
We asked Jacqui why she chose to get married in central Otago, and she told us that "We chose to get married in Central Otago as I grew up in New Zealand and spent many holidays in Central Otago."
"My husband grew up in country NSW. We also felt it was a great holiday destination for all our Australian friends and family (as we were living in Sydney at the time). There were so many other reasons- we loved the venue, the scenery and we’ve had some special trips together to Central Otago over the years."
When we asked her about any outstanding details, or special vendors, Jacqui told us that "We were most excited about the day just finally happening- we originally were supposed to get married in January 2021, so after a few COVID postponements, two years and a baby later it was amazing to have it happen."
"We loved that our son was a part of our day (he was 18 months old at the time) and his favourite part was definitely the helicopter. We were so happy with all our vendors and wouldn’t have changed a thing- we had so many comments on the venue, food, band, everything was fantastic and our only wish would have been the day being longer and getting to spend more time with all our friends and family that travelled to spend the day with us."
